Hello everybody!

This email is just a reminder of our *meeting tonight, from 7-8pm, in EBII
room 3001*. We'll be discussing init systems: the "morning coffee" of Linux
setups, catalyzing their transition from mindless machines to user-friendly
interfaces and accessible applications.

Important and exciting stuff! Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Hey everybody!

After a great talk on init systems by Michael, this week we have another
social meeting coming up! As of right now, the location is still undecided.
Start casting out your preferences (either by replying to this email, or on
IRC) for location, and before the weekend is out we'll announce the final
decision.

I'll put in a vote for David's Dumplings on Hillsborough, so long as
everyone has money to blow on fancy food.

Have a great weekend, everybody!

Neill R.

Hi LUG,

I'm happy to report that short has had a bit of work done on it. Here are a
summary of the changes made:

- Disk quotas have been configured and will be enabled upon next reboot.
- All human users together may consume at most 200 GB of disk space.
Short's HDD is 250 GB. Please be mindful of your disk usage.
- Passwords must now be changed every 90 days.
- The minimum password length is now 13 characters regardless of symbol
complexity. Passwords may not be reused.
- Users who have not yet changed their default password will have their
accounts locked 30 days from the date of this email.

In other news, the general consensus for this Tuesday's social dinner
meeting is David's Dumplings and Noodle Bar, located at 1900 Hillsborough
St, Raleigh, NC 27607.
Cast your vote by emailing the mailing list or dropping a line on IRC (
chat.freenode.net, #ncsulug).

Thanks for flying with us!

If we use SSH public-key authentication, can we have our passwords deleted entirely so we don't have to go through the reset song-and-dance constantly?

Yes. If anyone wants to use pubkey auth, setup your keys and then let me
know. I will delete your password and change your expiry policy to never.

Hello everyone!

If you are planning on attending tomorrow's LUG social meeting at David's
Dumplings, *please reply to this email to RSVP*, since we'll need to sit at
a table and order from menus and whatnot! As a reminder, we'll be
meeting *tomorrow
(Tuesday) at 7:00pm, on site at 1900 Hillsborough St*. If we have under
four attendees, we'll call it off.

In the future I won't be so obnoxious in choosing pricey, edgy
restaurants--but take this as a lesson to advocate your opinions before my
jests are taken seriously again!

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
